
GALEN NOLAND - HARPIST
Biography
Galen Noland is a St. Albert-based musician who has been performing regularly on both harp and piano in the Edmonton, Alberta area for over thirty years. He has a full student load and gigging schedule that allows him to pursue his many interests. He earned a Bachelor of Music Honours degree from the University of Alberta where he was trained in classical music, and a Diploma with Distinction from Grant MacEwan where he studied pop and jazz.
Comfortable in many styles, he is in demand as a teacher and a performer. He received most of his harp training from Nora Bumanis, the principal harpist of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, as well as Terry McDade, a popular celtic harpist.
